Good Morning, Family and Friends

I'm pleased to tell you all that I am boring. Healing just doesn't have the excitement of last week's ordeal, but I prefer it completely.

I'm just being lazy, letting other people take care of me, and wishing my swollen feet and legs would soon get back to normal. I've had to borrow sweatpants to have anything to wear. Oh, well, this too will pass.

Yesterday I treated myself to my first ever pedicure. What a pleasurable experience that was. Today it's just sit with feet higher than my heart. Does this mean the swelling will move up to my chest? That's a good thought.

On Friday Karl and I drive back to Chicago to see Dr. Lurain. He will take out the staples, and tell us my plan for chemo. Don't you know that driving to Chicago and back on Friday afternoon and evening is going to be quite an unfun trip?

Thanks to you all for caring and checking on me.

Hi Margaret,

It was sooo good to hear your voice, and it will help me convince your fellow board of directors that you are up and around. I'm passing your blog site to them today. We have kept you in our thoughts, and as I shared, I now know that I can say an entire rosary on the way to work! I greatfully thanked God for the good news this week for you and another friend. You will continue to be in my prayers.
I'm counting on you to keep track of my Cubs now that they are in first place...and you might have time to catch a few games on t.v.!! Love, Susan

Margaret,

Happy to hear your surgery ordeal is over, and that you have that great sense of humor. I pray that all is going well, and that we will soon see you at our meetings.
Have fun on that awful Chicago, Friday afternoon trip.
